Meet Samsung’s New Galaxy M Series Phones M10 And M20
Over the past few years, Samsung is not been in the
competition of mid-range smartphone segments especially in the Indian market.
Where brands like Xiaomi, Honor, Realme, Nokia, OPPO are offering eye-catching
design, good specs and most importantly affordable prices that attracts the
users most. Now finally Samsung breaks the silence and has announced two new
smartphones from its Galaxy M-series first in the Indian market.
This Samsung’s new Galaxy M-series has come up with the
concept of millennials and to take on brands like Xiaomi, Honor, Realme and
other.
Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 are the first setup smartphones
from the M-series lineup that has been officially launched in India on Monday
(28, January). The new Galaxy M phones are being marketed as “India-first”
smartphones and especially targeted to affordable price-range.
The Galaxy M10 and M20 are spotted with a new Infinity-V
display which is first in Samsung Phones. To offer an immersive experience to
users these two also comes along with long battery life and an ultra wide-angle
camera.

Feature details of Samsung Galaxy M10
Design and display
The Galaxy M10 doesn’t show too much diversion from the
basic designing principles of other Samsung’s mid-range smartphones.
It comes up with an all-plastic unibody design that gives
solidity to the phone. The front of the phone ships with a water-drop-style
V-shaped notch and minimalist bezels around the display.
Galaxy M series
The right side of the phone holds the volume rocker and the
power button just at the position of easy to reach out to. On the other hand,
the SIM tray with a dedicated slot for Micro SD card is placed on the left side
of the phone.
The bottom part houses the 3.5mm headphone jack, Micro-USB
port, and a primary microphone.
On the back, the dual-camera array is vertically placed at
the top left corner along with a LED flash. The speaker grille is placed on the
bottom end of the rear panel of the phone.
The Samsung Galaxy M10 boasts with a stunning 19.5:9 aspect
ratio type 6.22-inch LCD infinity-V-display of resolution 720×1520 pixels.
You will notice that the chin is slightly larger compared to
other side bezels but that won’t really concern you, as the phone comes with
90% screen-to-body ratio to give you immersive viewing experience.
Camera and sensor
The dual camera setup on the back of Galaxy M10 brings a
13MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.9 and combined with a 5MP ultra
wide secondary camera.
The secondary camera is there to provide you 120° field view
by which you can capture a lot more of the scene in your images.
Galaxy M series
On the front in the water drop style notch, there is a 5MP
selfie shooter with an aperture f/2.0 that comes with the support of live focus
and in-display flash.
Sensors on Galaxy M10 include a gyroscope, accelerometer,
distance sensor, electronic compass, ambient light sensor, vibration motor, and
an infrared sensor.
Unfortunately, you won’t find fingerprint unlock option on
this phone as the company has shown more confidence in face unlock option.
Software, processor, and performances
The Samsung Galaxy M10 is powered by 1.6GHz Exynos 7870
chipset which is an octa-core processor. And with the Mali 830 GPU, you can
operate your day-to-day work smoothly and also experience good gaming
performance.
Galaxy M10 doesn’t come up with the latest Android Pie,
instead, it runs Android Oreo v8.1 on top of Samsung experience 9.5 UI, which
is meant to provide a very cohesive and optimize the experience.
Battery and connectivity
The Galaxy M10 is powered by a 3400mAh battery under the
hood, which is standard for this category smartphones and will be last long for
a full day on a single charge on normal uses.
Connectivity options M10 include GPS, Bluetooth, Micro-USB,
3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).
RAM, storage, and price
The Galaxy M10 will be available with two different
variants. One is 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage at Rs 7,990 and the other is
3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage at Rs 8,990. It will also available in two
different colors ocean blue and charcoal black.
